Ms. Carla Chambliss

Carla leaves me with many wonderful memories of the time we taught together at the same school. Besides being a great educator, she was a very special, kind person to those who knew her. Her laughter was contagious. When our group of teacher friends met together, Carla's smiling, friendly nature was such a blessing. She kept all of us together for many, many years. Memories we have of Carla will be gifts to our hearts and give us comfort. Pat Crouch

I had the privilege of teaching 4th grade with Ms. Chambliss at Ruth Upson Elementary school for four years. I was fresh out of college and this was my first teaching job. I am so thankful I had Ms. Chambliss in my corner during those four years. :) She was so supportive, kind and absolutely hilarious. I haven't seen Ms. Chambliss in nearly two decades, but she is a person who comes in to your life and leaves their mark permanently. I will forever cherish my memories of Ms. Chambliss. My prayers are with her family & friends in this time.

Carla you will always hold a special place in my heart. Being your mom was my first grade teacher and then we reunited at Ruth Upson when we taught together. You were always a bright sunshine to others. Your personality and generosity could never be forgotten. You touched so many lives as an educator. And you were a mentor to so many teachers as they crossed your path. My prayers are with the family during this most difficult time. May God strengthen them daily. Von Hubbard

Carla, I will always have fond memories of you and the times we shared as friends since first grade. We did not talk everyday but we would surely enjoy catching up. Family, be strong and keep sweet memories of her laughter and the fun life she lived.

Ms. Carla was nothing but kind, compassionate and HILARIOUS! My time spent being her neighbor was too short, but we had great conversations about life. It was also so fun going to lunch with her and always waiting for her for AT LEAST an hour because she was just so social and knew everybody. She was a beautiful person, and I will miss her deeply.

Ms.Carla sad to hear of your passing. Glad you will see your son Max again. Thank you for all the memories. Godspeed and rest well.

Mrs. Carla, will always be a VERY special in my Life. Her brightness that fill an entire building could never be denied. An educator in the Public School system for over 40 years, a friend and kind sould to ALL. I will miss her laugh, love for All, especially the children lives she touched and hearing ALL the stories in life she would share about Life. Rest now. Mrs. Carla made a full presence in my life after my mom passed. She was everything to everyone. A friend to all. An angel when you needed one. Just her giving a Nothing Bundt Cake to brighten your day. She will truly be missed. I Love you. Your family will stay in my prayers. God Bless.
