Dominique Nichole Swanson-Harris entered this earthly life on February 27, 1992. The first and only daughter of Keith Lamar Swanson Sr. and Angela Denise King. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee at Nashville General Hospital.
She was baptized at a young age by Reverend Theresa Chandler. She attended Metro Public Schools and graduated from Whites Creek High School in May of 2010. Throughout her school years she was a cheerleader for the Grammar Pirates, Ewing Park Middle and Whites Creek High School, where she ended up becoming captain.
She worked as a CNA and Med Tech for over a decade. She was very passionate about her clients and grew unbreakable bonds and relationships with each client she cared for.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Method Wallace Jr., her two grandmothers, Rosie Wallace and Wilma Swanson, one aunt, Penny King, and uncle, Megal Wallace. Unfortunately, two days after her passing her last living grandparent, Willie Swanson, Sr., entered his eternal life.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving husband, John Harris; two beautiful daughters, DeMecia McDonald and Janiya Harris; four brothers, Keith Swanson Jr., Dion Swanson, Jamal Brooks Jr., and Dustin White; four sisters, Datoria White, Martina Townsend, Ashley Swinger, and Jessica Swinger; cousins/sisters Desirae Swanson and Arryion Wallace; devoted, lifelong best friend Christiana Yebuah; Aunts, Latonya (Travis) Johnson and Veronica Wallace; uncles Rodney (Patsy) Swanson, Carl Swanson, and Darold Swanson; nieces, Kylee Whitehead-Swanson, Journey Swanson, and niece Kazyla Dominique Brooks, due to be born in October; godson Maxwell, godmother Tasha Cartwright; devoted stepmom, Michelle Swinger; as well as a host of cousins, friends, and other relatives.
Family Visitation & Public Viewing will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026 from 4-6pm at 15th Avenue Baptist Church 1203 9th Ave Nashville, TN 37208
Family Visitation, Saturday 10-11am with funeral service to follow at St Mark Baptist Church 3903 Milford Rd Nashville, TN 37218

My first only daughter Dominique N Swanson-Harris can't explain how much I'm missing you day by day so use of calling are texting you about what you cooking or I tell you I'm cooking taco and you say I don't want that but when I cook it you get some anyway but we will always have a connection no matter what you looking down and telling me mama it's alright I'm still here keeping doing what you do forever my first born.

Girl I don't even have the words to say ....even though you wasn't my biological child you were my child.. I could call you and I know you were pulling up on two wheels in Tangy... I'm really just lost for words...it just doesn't feel real. I'm in disbelief and can't believe I'm sitting her writing this message about you. I will forever love you my beautiful niece... Get your rest love even though l know you are still up there doing what you do best taking care of the grandparents....My heart will forever have this void in it...
