Kenya Thiopia Moore, 52, of Murfreesboro TN, passed away on September 14, 2023, after a fatal car accident. Throughout most of her life she struggled with multiple illnesses which she often conquered with the help of her faith as a Latter Day Saint. She was a member of the Salem Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Smyrna, TN. They often provided a helping hand in her time of need.
Kenya was born on February 8, 1971, to Gloria Stroud Moore (deceased) and Clarence Burnah Moore in Frankfurt, Germany. After Kenya graduated from Mumford High School of Detroit in 1989, she went on to study Electronic Engineering Technology at ITT Tech (Sterling Heights, MI) which she graduated in 1991 with her associate degree. Kenya had pursued a bachelor’s degree in Automated Manufacturing Technology at ITT Technical Institute (Fort Wayne, IN). Additionally, she attended Job Corp (Edinburgh, IN & St Paul, MN) where she was a Peer Helper and Editor of the school magazine at the Transportation Communication Union.
After graduating with her associate degree, she worked as a reservation agent for United Airlines (Herndon, VA & Denver, CO) while working as Tech Support at TeleTech (Thornton, CO) and then as a customer service agent at EchoStar (Thornton, CO). Kenya enjoyed spending her time working on computers, reading & writing books, playing video games and spending time with Yoshi and Ms. Minnie (her fur babies).
Kenya was predeceased by her mother Gloria J Moore, her grandparents Martha and Johnny L Stroud and Minne and Burnah Moore. She is survived by her father Clarence B Moore of Murfreesboro, TN and two sisters Tonya Moore-Bouchard (Gerard Bouchard) of Michigan and Renae Moore of Tennessee and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Big sister will always live in my heart. She will truly be missed. You are in great company in heaven with mommy, Toni and our grandparents! I love you always sister dear!
Definitely gone to soon. We have a lifetime of memories growing up in Detroit. Take comfort that she is at rest among many of our family's fallen angels.
My cousin was a sweet sole just like her mother. We had so much fun as children together. I'm going to miss her messages. So use to send sooo many. Now I wish I could get just 1 more. Rest in the hands of the Lord and know that you were loved by many.
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
