Lifeβs Reflections For Richard Oliver Seay
He was born on December 17, 1946, to the late James Gray and Annie Lou Bass Seay in Wilson County, Tennessee. He transitioned to his heavenly home on March 1, 2025, at the age of 78.
Richard graduated from Wilson County High School and was baptized in the Church of Christ at a young age.
He married the late Marilyn Ward Seay, and the union lasted 44 years.
Richard dedicated most of his life to providing for his family. His tremendous work ethic led him to work for Dupont for over 35 years before retiring from the company. Richard's quiet presence supported his family and loved ones.
Richard is preceded in death by his wife, parents, one son, Brent Ward and one sister Helen Wright.
He is survived by one loving and devoted daughter, Cassandra (Maury) Alexander, Hermitage, TN, and two sons, Cameron Seay, Antioch, TN, and Adrian Seay, Lebanon, TN. Four granddaughters, Jasmine Randle, Nashville, TN., Tiffany Dockins, LaVergne, TN., Tija Larkins, Nashville, TN., and Jasmine Fuqua, Lebanon, TN; Four great-grandsons, Elijah Randle, Knoxville, TN., Lance Fuqua, Lebanon, TN., Josiah and Jordan Edwards, LaVergne, TN.; Three Siblings, Mary Margaret Stafford, Lebanon, TN.; Jerry Seay, Nashville, TN., and Emma Dale (Michael) Johnson. Sister-in-law, Sammye Williamson, Chicago, Ill. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends. Special Thanks to Dannie Patrick, Kenya Stewart, Fred Beard and Jessica Franklin for their time, care, and love during his illness, which brought ease to the family in his final days.
Family Visitation, Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 12-1:00pm with funeral service to follow at JC Hellum Funeral Chapel.
