Obituary For Thomas Murphy
On February 9, 2026, Thomas Murphy, age 77, was called to his eternal rest.
Thomas was born December 2, 1948 to Mose and Clarice Murphy. He was the first of 5 children. Thomas accepted Christ at an early age. He graduated from the Davidson County School system. He served in the US Army with an Honorable Discharge.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Vera Sears and Mozella Young. Grandparents Harvey & Lula Murphy and Beulah Murray & Lee Bowles. Three uncles, Eugene, Aaron, and James Bowles. One niece, Shonda Carey.
Thomas leaves to cherish his memories Sister Camille Powell, Brother Wayne Murphy (Frances), Companion Shelia Scott, Nephews Chris Murphy, Samuel Talley, William Watkins, Jamie Murphy, Jason Carey and Antwar Talley, Nieces Danielle Powell, Ameena Jacobson (Freddie), Kamela Talley, Liz Young, Jasmine Jones and a host of great nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Memorial Service, Friday, February 20, 2026 at Middle Tn. Veterans Cemetery, Pegram Tn. 2:00 pm
