Obituary For Reginald Waters

A Memorial Celebration Service Honoring the Life of Reginald E. Waters will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Silver Hill Memorial United Methodist Church, 778 John B. White, Sr. Blvd., Spartanburg, South Carolina 29306. The Reverend Jerry Louis Gadsden will officiate.

Reginald Waters was born June 8, 1968; he slipped into eternity on October 22, 2018. He was the beloved son of Mrs. Bernice Waters Lewis and the late Johnnie W. Waters. Affectionately known as "Reggie", he spent his formative years in Spartanburg, South Carolina. "Reggie" was a faithful member of Silver Hill Memorial United Methodist Church.

After graduating with honors from Spartanburg High School, "Reggie" attended Howard University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1991.

During his junior year at Howard University, Reginald co-founded Advanced Engineering Design, Inc., an engineering and information technology firm, headquartered in Prince George's County, Maryland. His firm currently employs a staff of more than 60 across twelve states. The firm has grown and thrived for nearly three decades.

Reginald married the former Marsha Forbes in 1999. They joyously welcomed the births of their children, Maxim, Elle and Harper.

"Reggie", Marsha and their children were faithful and active members of Asbury United Methodist Church in Washington, DC. Reginald was also active in the greater Washington community.

Initiated into Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. in 2008, Reginald served the fraternity in many capacities. Reginald was preceded in death by: his father; his step-father, Ernest Lewis; and his brother, Thomas. "Reggie" is lovingly remembered and celebrated by his loving family: his wife, Marsha; his children, Maxim, Elle and Harper; his mother, Mrs. Bernice Waters Lewis; his siblings, Scarlette Johns, Jerome "Ricky" Tolliver (Tammy) and Christopher Tolliver; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Sheila Robinson; his brother-in-law, Julian Forbes; uncles, nieces and nephews; colleagues friends and associates.
