It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Albert Calloway Jr., who transitioned quietly on May 16, 2025, at his residence after a short illness. Albert was born on October 5, 1966, in Augusta, Georgia, to the union of Albert Calloway Sr. and Billie Ann Jones- Roberts, both have preceded him into eternity.
As a proud United States Army veteran, serving as an Army Ranger, Albert dedicated his life to serving his country. After his honorable military service, he embraced his passion for home improvements and worked as a self-employed carpenter, where he showcased his skills and craftsmanship.
Albert was known for his adventurous spirit, friendly demeanor, and kind-hearted nature. He will be remembered for his generosity and the love he shared, especially with his small but tight-knit family. He leaves behind his beloved aunt, Tommie Jean Jones, and his cousin, Ora Jean Mealing, along with a cadre of other relatives and close friends who will cherish the memories of the time spent with him.
Though the earthly ties have loosened, Albert’s spirit will be remembered in an intimate gathering among his family. Albert's life will be honored through this celebration of his journey and spirit in tribute to him. Albert will be laid to rest in the meadows of the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with military honors.
Though Albert has left us, his adventurous spirit and kind soul will continue to inspire those who knew him. Let us remember Albert not with sorrow, but with a smile, echoing the laughter and love he extended to many.
At this time of intimate need and personal loss, the family of Albert Calloway Jr. elected to entrust the Ministry of Comfort & Care, along with Transitional After-Care Arrangements to the J. E. Washington Funeral Services, 2234 Glenwood Avenue, Youngstown, Ohio, 330.782.8500.
