With joyful hearts and cherished memories, we gather to celebrate the remarkable journey of our beloved Annette Blackmon-Clark, who gracefully left this world on April 11, 2025, at the Hospice House holding the hand of her baby sister. Born on January 6, 1957, the daughter of Jimmie Blackmon Sr. and Ovella Thomas-Blackmon, in the heart of Youngstown, Ohio, Annette was a beacon of light, laughter, and love—a devoted mother whose spirit will forever echo in the hearts of those she cherished.
Annette attended South High School. She was a true homemaker at heart, pouring her soul into her family and creating a sanctuary of warmth within her home. Each day was a canvas for her creativity and passion, and her nurturing spirit will resonate deeply with all who were fortunate enough to know her. On several occasions she worked for Staples BBQ, Meals on Wheels and Tile Supply.
Annette devoted her life to nurturing her family and creating a haven of comfort and love. She embraced the role of mother with an unwavering dedication, raising her beloved children, Alma Clark of Youngstown and Jason Clark of Niles, who carry her legacy forward with pride.
Annette leaves precious memories and moments with her siblings Doris Blackmon Green and Ovella Blackmon, Tony Blackmon, Willie (Lessie) Blackmon. It is with a heart full of love and a spirit of remembrance, she passes the mantle upon the shoulders of her grandchildren Jayla, Jasean, Kayla and Journi, along with her great grandchildren Jalayah, Justice, Malinah, Williams Jr and Serenity.
Now assuming her place among the ancestors, Annette is reunited with her parents, sister Mary Walker, brothers Leotis Blackmon, Bobby Blackmon, Jimmie Blackmon Jr. and a nephew that was like a brother Charles Walker, all who preceded her into eternity.
Join us in celebrating Annette Blackmon-Clark—whose laughter, love, and light will continue to shine brightly in our memories. Let’s honor her remarkable journey, remembering her not with sorrow but with smiles, love, and gratitude.
We invite you to join in honoring her memories with an uplifting celebration of her life.
