With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Annie Pearl Parkman, who entered into eternal rest on March 24, 2026, at the age of 96. Born on January 24, 1930, in Lafayette, Alabama, Annie was the beloved daughter of Jessie Holloway and John Henry Jordan. Annie lived a life filled with resilience, grace, and a deeply rooted sense of family.
Annie was united in holy matrimony to Arthur G. Parkman Sr. and from that union they were blessed with a son, Arthur G. Parkman Jr. She will be lovingly remembered for the unwavering devotion she showed to her family and friends.
Annie was a presser at Masters Tuxedo, a testament to her strong work ethic and commitment to excellence in her craft. Though she never sought the spotlight, her feisty spirit and calm demeanor left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to cross her path. While understated in her approach, she crafted a legacy that will be cherished by her loved ones.
Annie will be remembered for her quiet strength, her love for those she held dear, and her enduring legacy that will carry on through the lives she touched. She leaves cherished memories with her daughter-in-love & devoted caregiver, Crystal Parkman; grandsons Arthur G Parkman III, Christopher (Elizabeth) Parkman, and great-grandchildren Nevahia, Audric, Alessandra. Along with her immediate family, a circle of relatives and friends will cherish the memories and love she imparted throughout her life.
As her faith became sight, Annie was reunited with her beloved husband, parents and son who preceded her into eternity. The tender memories of Annie’s warmth, faith, and enriching resilience will forever remain etched in the hearts of her legacy bearers. She leaves behind a rich tapestry of beautiful memories that will continue to inspire.
As the community gathers to honor Annie, we celebrate a life well-lived and a legacy that will continue to inspire those who remain. A 10:30 public viewing will take place on Monday, April 6, 2026, in the chapel of the J.E. Washington Funeral Home, 2234 Glenwood Ave, in Youngstown, Ohio, with Minister Artis Henderson performing the committal ceremony where Annie will be laid to rest at the Tod Homestead Cemetery in Youngstown.
