Billy Arnez Cozart, a cherished father, son, brother, and friend, peacefully departed this life on December 30, 2024. Born on August 1, 1959, in Sharon, PA, he was a beloved son of Nelson Brown and Margaret Cozart- Peagler.
A man of many passions, Billy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He cherished the serenity of fishing and the tranquility of being on the water, where he often sought solace and reflection.
His faith was his anchor; a devoted servant of the Lord, he embraced his role as Treasurer and Bible teacher in his community, fostering a spirit of learning and fellowship that resonated deeply with those around him. His love for Christ rooted him deeply in community, where he served faithfully studied and shared God’s word. His skillful hands in carpentry reflected his belief in building not only structures but also a foundation of faith and support for others.
Billy is survived by his beloved sons, Jason Cozart and Christopher Cozart, as well as his stepson Samuel Moore, whose lives he touched with his unwavering support and guidance. He is also survived by siblings Brenda Cozart; Timothy Peagler, Tyron Peagler; and Maxine Peagler.
Billy’s extended family which includes his nephews and nieces—Quinten, Joshua, Taz, Chris, LaChaunta, Ashunta, Terica, Tasha, Georgette, and Angelic—each of whom carry a piece of his light and will carry forward his legacy of love and kindness. His memory will remain eternal by a host of family and friends.
As Billy awaited to hear the words, “Well done thou good and faithful servant”, he was embraced by his parents, spouse Pamela Cozart, former wives yet still dear friends Sherry Johnson-Cozart and Brenda K. Moore-Cozart, siblings Terry Cozart and Macine Houston, all who preceded him into eternity. Billy Cozart's spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him.
Billy’s legacy of compassion, faith, and strength will live on through the memories cherished. Despite our grief, we celebrate a life well-lived, a testament to the enduring power of love and faith that he so deeply embodied.

Psalms 145 :1-10
I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise thy works to another and shall declare thy mighty acts. I will speak of the glorious honor of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.
And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness. They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness and shall sing of thy righteousness. The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion, slow to anger, and of great mercy. The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee.
