Obituary For Curtis Eugene Davis

Curtis Eugene Davis, 67 of Youngstown, Ohio transitioned peacefully from this earth to his heavenly home on Monday, July 6, 2026. He was born on July 30, 1958, to his biological parents Margaret (Peggy) Moore and Richard Robinson Sr. in Cook County, Illinois and was reared by his bonus parents Deacon Thornton Davis and Learone Davis until her passing.

Curtis proudly served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He loved God and family. He loved his sisters and acted as a protector and caregiver to each one of them. Curtis enjoyed cooking and had previously worked as a chef. He was most recently employed with the Mahoning County Food Bank, helping those with food insecurity within the community.

Curtis was a fun-loving individual with a kind and generous spirit. He loved music and played the guitar and could be found often listening to his old school music in what he considered his “mancave.” He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and his dog BoBo.

Curtis leaves to mourn his loss, yet cherish his memory his daughter Olivia Davis; a very special friend Ellen Bellamy; sisters Peggy Bishop of Toledo Ohio, Janice Cook, and Julie Moore of Youngstown, Ohio, Jeanine Watkins (Duane) of Boardman, Ohio, Beverly Dorsey (Develle) of Plum Pennsylvania, Stacey Robinson of Columbus, Ohio, Tangela Saenz (Manuel) of Houston, Texas, Tawanna Warren (Rocky) of Campbell, Ohio and Vaughncile McCoy of Villa Rica, Georgia and brothers Kevin (aka Dee) Moore of Youngstown and Richard Robinson Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia. His legacy will be sustained by his grandchildren Melissa Young of San Bernadino California and MyKing Hart of Campbell, Ohio.

As Curtis crossed the celestial sands, he was preceded in eternity by his sister Nicole Robinson and brother Charles McCoy.

On behalf of a grateful nation, there will be graveside services, with military honors, held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at Belmont Park Cemetery with Rev. Lewis Macklin presiding.

After the committal ceremony, the family is extending an invitation to friends to attend a celebration of Curtis’s life afterwards at Mill Creek Park’s Pioneer Pavillion from 12:00 P.M.-3:00 P.M.

At this time of intimate need and personal loss, the family of Curtis Eugene Davis elected to entrust the Ministry of Comfort & Care, along with Transitional After-Care Arrangements for a caring farewell to the J.
