In the quiet corner of Youngstown, Ohio, Daryle Isaiah Martin, a soul as gentle as a breeze bids his earthly farewell on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Daryle, born to the union of Gloria Martin and Isaiah James on July 11, 1972, blessed this world with his presence for fifty-one years.
With a heart full of love as deep as a river, Daryle journeyed through life, touching hearts and spreading kindness wherever he journeyed. In his final moments on this earth, he found peace in the embrace of natural transition. His warm smile, his soothing presence and his unwavering dedication will forever be engraved in the memories of those who knew and loved him.
A native of Youngstown, Daryle found his calling as a janitor at Youngstown State University, where his hands worked tirelessly to keep the facilities clean and the spirits bright. The South High School warrior was known for his essence of generosity and humorous nature.
Solitude was extremely important to Daryle. He found peace and serenity at home caring for his canine German & feline Tuger. He enjoyed life’s simple pleasures such as moments with his family, watching the New England Patriots contend on television or gaming on his Xbox to play Mortal Kombat. Daryle also had an appreciation for luxury vehicles and rap music.
Daryle leaves cherished memories with his uncle Jeff (Cecelia) Martin, whom cared for him in life and in his passing, sisters Chanell (Julius) Newell and Tasha (Michael) Robinson, along with a cadre of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him immensely.
Now gathered among the cloud of great witnesses, Daryle was reunited with his beloved parents, father figure Randy Anderson and precious daughter Shaquasha “Qua” Campbell eternally.
As friends and family gather to celebrate the life Daryle lived, all are invited who were touched by his spirit to join in honoring his memory. On Wednesday May 8, 2024 at 10:00am a public viewing and visitation will be held in the chapel of the J. E. Washington Funeral Services, 2234 Glenwood Avenue. A Celebration of Life service will take place at 11:00am where Rev. Lewis Macklin will preside. Daryle will be laid to rest at the Belmont Park Cemetery, 3346 Belmont Avenue, after a committal service.
Daryle's passing leaves behind a world dimmed by his absence yet illuminated by the love he shared. While we mourn his departure, let us also rejoice in the life he led, the hearts he touched, and the love he gifted us. As we lay him to rest in the embrace of the earth he called home, let us remember him not with sorrow but with gratitude for the time we shared.
