Dominique Travelle Callier, 32, of Youngstown, Ohio passed away on February 4, 2024. Dominique was born on October 4, 1991 in Youngstown, Ohio to Tariton Callier and Clarice Clinkscale-Harris. Dominique affectionately known as Coley or "Coley Tha Gift" as he called himself, was well known and well loved by his family and friends.
He attended both Youngstown Public and Cleveland Public Schools systems. As a kid he was raised by his grandmother Shirley Fai Callier, great grandmother Fannie Mae, great aunt Rita, and Grandmother Lanny with all of whom he enjoyed a very close and special relationships.
Dominique loved sports with his favorite being football and he especially loved the Dallas Cowboys. As a kid he played football for muny league team New Bethel Braves. He had a love for music, and many knew him to be an aspiring rap artist. One thing about him was that he could make a dollar out of fifteen cents. He was a hustler by nature and his ambition took him far during his time here.
He had a sense of humor that was unmatched and could make you laugh in your worse moments. Dominique loved his kids, and he loved being an uncle too. Until his last days he lived his life doing exactly what he wanted to do.
He was preceded in death by his great grandmother Fannie Mae Callier. grandparents Clement Scott, Shirley Fai Callier, Jolanda (Lanny) Jackson. aunt Cynthia (Rita) Callier and a favorite cousin Tiara Whatley.
He leaves to mourn his father Tariton (Michelle) Callier, mother Clarice Clinkscale-Harris. siblings Tawana Clinkscale, Braylyn Williams, Tericka Callier, Sha'Quiella Clinkscale, and Anthony Jennings Jr.; aunts Tyra (Joseph) Brodie, Sonya Clinkscale and uncle James (Cassandra) Jackson. His children, the twins Da'Mauri ,Da'Maris Callier, Grayson Negron, and his unborn children, daughter Da'Miya and son Corleone. Dominique had a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who all loved him deeply as well.
As we bid farewell to Dominique let us remember his genuine generosity and the impact, he had on all who knew him. May his spirit soar free, forever watching over his loved ones.
To honor and celebrate Dominique’s life, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at the New Bethel Baptist Church, 1507 Hillman Street, on Monday February 12, at 11:00 am, officiated by Rev. Kenneth L. Simon. There will be a public viewing and calling hour one hour prior. Family, friends, and well-wishers are invited to join in remembrance of a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
