It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Maurice Williams Jr., affectionately known as Donny, who left this world on February 18, 2026, at the Cleveland Clinic, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 14, 1987, in Youngstown, Ohio, Donny's journey took him from the Pacific Northwest back to his roots in Youngstown, where he left an indelible mark on everyone he met.
Donny grew up with a spirit full of ambition and love. From selling candy in local barbershops to shining on the basketball courts during his school years, he embraced every opportunity with joy. A proud member of the Bethel Church of God in Christ, he always valued community and kinship. Graduating from The Rayen School in 2008, he went on to pursue business studies at the University of Toledo, showcasing his dedication to life and learning.
Donny was a dedicated father to his beloved sons, Donald III and DeCarlo, who were his greatest treasures. His fierce fight against illness was fueled by love for them, a testament to the profound bond they shared. Donny was everything Tennessee Titans! Whether he was indulging in good food at fine dining establishments or embarking on travel adventures, Donny filled his life and the lives of others with laughter and warmth.
His memory will forever be cherished by his sons, parents Kimberly & Michael Williams Sr., father Donald Sr., siblings Miesha Williams and Michael Williams Jr., niece Aubrielle; nephews Lyndon, Michael III, Gjuan, Armani and god-sister Jada Williams.
Precious memories are embedded in the hearts and minds of his sister-in-love, Courtney Ashton; uncle Samuel (Irene) Williams; aunts Ronnette Sharp, Audrey Wilson, Theresa (Carlos) Lester, Carol (Tim) Priest, Sonya (Kenneth) Watley and Carmen Williams, along with a score of additional loving relatives and friends.
As Donny’s faith became sight, he joined the great cloud of the ancestors which includes his brother Tony Darden, aunt Viola “Teddy” (Kenneth) Clark; grandparents Willard Darden, Viola Darden, Connie R. (James “Pete”) Sims, Charles (Ina)Williams and Lucille McClain; uncles Billy McClain, Marquel McClain, and Aaron McClain. Let us come together to remember Donny, a true gem who touched our lives with kindness. May we carry forward his legacy of love, loyalty, and laughter in our hearts.
Donald's life will be honored on Friday, March 13, 2026, with an 11:00 AM public viewing at Bethel Church of God in Christ, 3147 Glenwood Ave, Youngtown, The Celebration of Life services will begin at 12 Noon with Superintendent Ross Johnson officiating.
