Eugenia H. Tillman, born on March 1, 1933, in Youngstown, Ohio, passed away on October 30, 2025, in North Las Vegas, Nevada. The beloved daughter of Sally & Frank Hall is remembered for her vibrant spirit which touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Eugenia's journey was one marked by strength and resilience. A graduate of the former Science Hill, she navigated life with unwavering determination. Her spirit was vibrant and engaging, captivating those fortunate enough to experience her warmth and humor. She was equally as strong as she was intelligent—qualities that inspired many throughout her life.
Over the years, she opened her heart and home to many, becoming an integral part of her community through her various passions. A member of the Christ Centered Church, in Youngtown, Eugenia dedicated her time to the nursing guild ministry. She exemplified service and compassion. Civically, she found joy in her participation with the Eastern Star.
Professionally Eugenia was initially employed at the former Cafaro Osteopathic Hospital and then worked at Packard Electric until retirement. Beyond her career pursuits, Eugenia found joy in gathering friends for card games, especially Bridge, and was always the life of the party, known for her flair as a entertaining and hospitality.
Eugenia had a love for the beauty of nature, a passion that came alive in her garden, where colorful blooms flourished under her attentive care. Her organizational skills were impeccable, and her home was a reflection of her vibrant personality—immaculately put together, always infused with cool colors that mirrored her expressive spirit. A lover of cooking and sharing her culinary talents, she created a haven for laughter and warmth, where family and friends were greeted with a generous heart and a plate brimming with delicious food.
Survived by her loving children, Calvin "Skip" Tillman and Tracy A. Tillman, as well as her cherished sisters, Luvenia Williams and Olivia Taylor, Eugenia leaves behind a legacy woven with love, resilience, and grace. Her legacy is entrusted to her five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Her strength was a pillar for her family, and her vibrant spirit will live on in the memories they cherish.
Eugenia was preceded in death b: her parents; daughter Karen Tillman and siblings Eleanor Calhoun-Murray, Mildred Fredericks, Ann Robinson, Ruby Hill, Frank Hall Jr. Eugenia will be lovingly remembered for her resilience, her passion for life, and the profound impact she had on everyone she encountered.
As we prepare to bid farewell to Eugenia, we are reminded of the flowers she adored, blooming and vibrant even in the face of adversity—a testament to the life she lived and the love she spread. In honor of Eugenia's rich life, a memorial service will be held on Saturday November 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Jaylex Event Center, 2110 Glenwood Ave, Youngstown, with Rev. Lewis W. Macklin II officiating.
