Obituary For Loretta Robinson

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Loretta Robinson, who left this world peacefully on September 4, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on April 26, 1954, in Tuskegee, Alabama, to the union of Charlie Caldwell & Evalina Caldwell, Loretta's journey through life was marked by her unwavering spirit and boundless love for her family and community.

Loretta devoted many years as a managing hair stylist, touching the lives of her clients in the personal care and grooming industry. As an independent manager, she embraced her work with passion and artistry, creating not just beautiful hairstyles but also lasting relationships with those she served. She was known for her keen sense of style, warm laughter, and the kind of wisdom that spoke directly to the heart.

Loretta embodied the traits of a Taurus woman- feisty and sassy. True to her nature, as a fashionista, she insured even in her days that her nails were manicured. She was the very essence of a diva- stylish and full of grace and class.

A woman of tremendous faith and trust in God, she was a dedicated member of New Grace Missionary Baptist Church. Loretta’s nurturing spirit reminded all who knew her of the importance of family and community, and her influence will continue to resonate through the lives she touched.

Her love and wisdom will continue to radiate through her daughter Ruqayya BInt Ali-Jaaber-Douglas. Her legacy will be sustained by her cherished granddaughters Jameelah Wylie and Aniyah Davey, who will carry forward her legacy of love, strength, and resilience.

Loretta also leaves precious memories with her siblings Lula Adams, Charlies Caldwell, Jr. Carl Caldwell, Malinda Borden and Willie Caldwell, long with a cadre of family and friends with whom she shared a special bond including Trusha Charton.

As Loretta's faith became sight, she was reunited in eternity he beloved parent and siblings Evelynn Caldwell and Christopher Caldwell.

Family and friends celebrated Loretta's remarkable life on September 11, 2026, at New Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Frank Christian overseeing the services. After a befitting committal ceremony, Loretta was laid to rest upon the meadows of scenic vista of Tod Homestead Cemetery.

As we remember Loretta, let us find comfort in our shared memories and stories, honoring the incredible woman she was and the light she brought to our lives.

For a caring farewell, at this time of intimate need and personal loss, the family of Loretta Robinson elected to entrust the Ministry of Comfort & Care, along with Transitional After-Care Arrangements to the J. E. Washington Funeral Services, 2234 Glenwood Ave, Youngstown, OH 44511 330.782.8500
