With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Mary Lee Adams, who soared into the arms of eternity on May 3, 2025, at Select Specialty Hospital in Boardman, OH. Born February 26, 1958, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, Mary was the cherished daughter of Robert Jefferson and Willie Mae Phillips. A radiant soul who touched the lives of everyone she met, Mary made her home in Sharpsville PA.
Mary's journey through life was grounded in love and laughter. She attended Sharon High School and was a devoted homemaker, dedicating her days to nurturing her family and creating a warm, welcoming home. She found family relationships and interactions meaningful. Her laughter echoed through the halls of her home as she embraced simple pleasures like fishing, playing cards, and gaming. Mary found joy in the little moments, the kind that brought her loved ones together and forged unbreakable bonds.
Mary found solace and strength in her faith as a member of the Greater Mount Zion Church of God in Christ, a community of believers that she held dear to her heart. Though illness may have kept her from attending in her later years, her spirit always remained intertwined with those she loved.
Mary’s family was her greatest treasure. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Ronnie Adams, Sr., whom she married on May 18, 2001. Mary’s legacy will live on through her sons, Delvin (Chanel) Norris, LeRoy Quarrells, RJ Quarrells, Raybin Quarrells, and Ronnie Adams, Jr.; her daughters, Kimba Lee, Lea (Lucus) Leventry, and KaTina Quarrells. The warmth of her love will continue to embrace her two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, as well as her sisters, Eddie Mae Surratt and Alberta Newman. A score of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends are forever grateful for the precious moments they shared with her.
As Mary entered Paradise, she was reunited with her beloved parents; brother, Robert Norris, Jr.; and sisters, Rosemary Brockman and Joanna Jasper, who eagerly awaited her arrival among the ancestors.
In memory of Mary’s beautiful spirit, we invite family and friends to gather and celebrate her life. A public viewing will be held on Wednesday May 14, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Greater Mount Zion Church of God in Christ, 1825 Roemer Blvd, Farrell, PA. Afterwards, the Celebration of Life Service will commence at 12:00 Noon, where Superintendent Tyrone Seals will be the celebrant.
After the conclusion of the committal ceremony, Mary will then be laid to rest in the meadows of Oakwood Cemetery. As we reflect on Mary's life, let us carry her love forward in our hearts, cherishing every memory—the laughter, the stories, and the unwavering bond of family that she cherished so deeply. In our sorrow, let us remember her joy and the light she brought into the world. She will forever be missed but never forgotten.
