Miazell Robbins, affectionately known as “Hustler,” passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family at the Main Campus of Mercy Healthcare Center in Youngstown, Ohio. He was born on March 2, 1954, to the late Booker T. Robbins and Carrie Robbins.
Miazell was a gentle spirit, cherished for his warm smile and laid-back demeanor. He graduated from Austintown Fitch High School and, driven by ambition, started his own successful venture in the sanitation and rubbish collection industry, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to supporting his family. For thirty years, he worked at Jim Brushless Car Wash until its closure, after which he spent several years at Coates Car Wash, where he continued to serve with diligence and pride.
As a devoted father, Miazell nurtured his children with love, often sharing stories from his own childhood and delighting them with heartfelt songs. This legacy of love extended to his grandchildren, who were fortunate enough to enjoy his presence and guidance. Miazell found joy in life’s simple pleasures and cherished his moments spent at the casino, often recounting fond memories of laughter and camaraderie with his loved ones.
Miazell leaves behind a loving family, including his daughter, Janiessa Thompson; sons Teon Thompson and Dorian Thompson; and a legacy full of love with his six grandchildren, three of whom he raised - Fantasia Villanueva, Teron Villanueva, Teon Thompson, Markell Thompson, Jeneen Daniels, and Laquawn Hopkins Jr. His lineage is further enriched by ten great-grandchildren, Kae'Den, Tori, Tia, C'zar, Romatea, MJ, Nayla, Monnie, Noah, and Gabriella, who will carry forth his teachings and spirit.
He is also survived by his brothers, Booker T. (Ethel) Robbins and John (Joyce) Robbins of Youngstown; his sister, Ruby Dale (Andrew) Brown of Las Vegas; stepsister Anne Everly of Florida; his aunt, Mary Bunting; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will hold his memory close to their hearts.
Miazell was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Thompson; parents, his daughter, Jeneen Thompson; and siblings Vera Beacham, Douglas Robbins, Perry Robbins, Tony Robbins, and Fred Robbins.
Miazell’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, February 14, 2026, with a 9:00 AM calling hour at the Jaylex Event Center, 2110 Glenwood Ave., Youngtown. The Celebration of Life service will begin at 10:00 AM with Rev. Lewis W, Macklin II officiating. As we gather to honor Miazell’s life, let us remember the kind-hearted man who touched so many lives with his generosity and warmth.
