Farrell A homegoing celebration in honor of Mrs. Barbara L. Blue Harrold will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11am at Valley Baptist Church, 500 Sharon- New Castle Rd. in Farrell, PA. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 10-11am at Valley Baptist Church in Farrell, PA. Barbara Lynn Blue Harrold, 62 of Farrell was born on September 6, 1958, and went from labor to eternal reward on September 10, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones. She was the daughter of the late Willie Sr and Lucille McKoy Blue. She was a 1976 graduate of Farrell Senior High School and a 1982 graduate of Youngstown State University. She was employed at Farrell Area School District as a peer counselor, Director of Southwest Gardens and National Churches. She was a devoted member of Valley Baptist Church, Farrell, Pennsylvania, where she was President of the Inspirational Chorus, President of the Number 2 Usher Board, Chairperson of the Church Anniversary Committee, Chairperson of the Pastoral Appreciation Day and past Chairperson of the Women’s Ministry. She also served on the Women’s Choir, Historical Committee, Youth Advisory Committee, Outreach Ministry and Constitution and Bylaws Committee. She was the Founder of the ”Legendary Men and Women of the Shenango Valley”. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Bruce Harrold whom she married on July 29, 2001, her daughter Hadiya Jackson Blue (Felicia), Maryland; her sisters, Crystal Blue of North Las Vegas, Nevada, Hyldia Smith of Clarkton, NC; her brothers, Willie, Jr. (Bertha) Blue, Sharon, PA; Milton Blue, Farrell, PA; Benjamin (Laura) Blue, Hermitage, PA; Norman (Funder) Blue, Clifford Locke, Jr. both Farrell, PA; her sister in laws, Jennifer( Dick) Ellis, Denise Thompson; a host of nieces, nephews; other relative and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
