Nivia's journey through this world brought light to everyone she encountered until her untimely departure on January 13, 2026. She leaves behind warmth, laughter, and an indelible mark on the hearts of her loved ones.

A graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Nivia lived a life filled with ambition and grace, embracing each day with a heart full of love. She found joy in the simple things, such as cooking for her family, the soothing sounds of old school R&B music flowing from her boom box, and the peaceful moments spent surrounded by her beloved plants on her back porch. Nivia’s love for pink roses was matched only by her devotion to creating a clean, welcoming home which reflected her vibrant, positive energy. Her laughter was infectious, her smile a beacon of positivity that could light up even the darkest days.

Proud of her Puerto Rican heritage and strong sense of family, Nivia’s legacy is entrusted to her loving children Ronald Rosa Jr., Ryan Rosa and Rosemary Rosa. Precious memories are shared by her mother and sisters Ashley Starkey, Amber Gonzalez, Jessica Oracio, Jasmine Andujar, and Yesenia Andujar, along with a score of family and friends. Nivia will be fondly remembered for living life simply, joyfully, and without complication, sharing her beautiful energy with everyone around her. All who knew her will carry a piece of her heart with appreciation for her gift of love, warmth, and good times.

In the echo of her laughter and the beauty of her spirit, may we find comfort in Nivia’s memory as we share stories and celebrate the joy that she brought into the lives of others. As Nivia crossed the celestial sands into eternity, she became reunited with her father and grandparents, Nilda & Jaime Torres and Alivilda & Thomas Andujar.

The family invites the community to gather in remembrance of a beautiful soul whose life will continue to inspire hopefulness. A celebration of her life will take place with a public viewing on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM, at the Jaylex Event Center, 2110 Glenwood Ave., followed by a heartfelt funeral service officiated by Pastor Rafael Cruz Jr. of Unity Baptist Church.

Encontraba alegría en las cosas sencillas, como cocinar para su familia, disfrutar de los suaves sonidos del R&B clásico que salían de su radio, y compartir momentos de paz rodeada de sus amadas plantas en el patio trasero de su hogar. Su amor por las rosas rosadas solo era comparable con su dedicación a mantener un hogar limpio y acogedor, reflejo de su energía vibrante y positiva. Su risa era contagiosa y su sonrisa, un faro de optimismo capaz de iluminar incluso los días más oscuros.
