In the quiet moments of a simple life well-lived, we reflect on the vibrant spirit of Robert Wayne Justice Sr., who peacefully entered eternity on January 20, 2025. Robert was born on September 26, 1952, to the union of Doris Hunt-Justice and Robert Gene Justice in Youngstown, OH. His journey spanned decades, filled with laughter, love, and countless cherished memories.
A skilled lineman by trade, Robert dedicated many years to Southern Bell Telephone, weaving connections beyond cables and wires; he built relationships with family and friends. His hands were as capable in the mechanics of telecommunication as they were in the gentle art of fishing, where he often found peace by the water's edge. Robert’s heart also found solace in the New Life church community when he resided in Georgia, where he connected deeply with his faith and the fellowship of others.
Yet, it was not just the work ethic that defined him; it was his love for life, as endless as a Clint Eastwood action flick or a cowboy movie marathon. Robert found joy in the rhythm of R&B, swerving to tunes of Earth, Wind & Fire, the O'Jays, and the soulful melodies of the late Mel Waiters and Frankie Beverly & Maze. His vinyl collection, lovingly curated, could tell stories of carefree days spent in the company of good friends James Gibbs, Marvette Carlton and neighbor Belinda.
Robert lived a life filled with passion, strength, and a deep love for his family and friends Robert is survived by his beloved children: Robert (Brigitte) Justice Jr., Erica Justice, Tremaine (Shantavia) Justice, and Jamal Justice; his devoted mother Doris Justice; his siblings, Jerome Justice Sr. and Jennifer Justice.
His memory will remain vibrant among his ten grandchildren, one great grandchild and two bonus kids, along with an abundance of family and friends who will forever carry his spirit in their hearts.
As Robert passed into eternity, he was reunited with his father Robert Justice and brother Ronald Justice who preceded him in death. As we reflect on the joy he brought to our lives, let us carry forward his legacy of kindness, his love for laughter, and his unwavering support for family and friends.
In remembrance of Robert's vibrant spirit, a memorial service will be held in the chapel of the J. E. Washington Funeral Home, 2234 Glenwood Ave, in Youngstown on Saturday February 1, 2025, at 10:30 am with Rev. Rodney Maiden as the celebrant.
