Orwell, OH - Roy Anderson, answered the heavenly call into eternity on May 24, 2024, at the University Hospital Geauga Medical Center. He entered the world on November 20, 1957, in Farrell, PA, as the son of Thomas and Mary Anderson.
Roy was a man of simple pleasures and found joy in cheering on his favorite football team, the Cleveland Browns and the Sharon “Tigers” High School Football teams. To say he was an enthusiastic champion is an understatement as his love for them was unwavering. Roy took pride in supporting his teams through the highs and lows of each season.
Roy was a kind-hearted soul and never allowed himself to be limited or defined by his physical challenges. Roy was a proud graduate of Hermitage High School. Roy enjoyed a fulling and robust life.
Roy cherished his time spent with family and friends, creating cherished memories that will be forever treasured. His exuberant spirit and infectious energy parlayed many uplifting moments for others. He found pleasure in bowling, bingo and video gaming.
Roy is survived by his brother Robert Anderson, sisters Linda Henley, Sandra Crosby, and Angela Anderson. Their bond was one of love, laughter, and unwavering support.
Roy assumed his place among the ancestors and was reunited with his parents, brother Elmer Jones and sisters Marion Anderson, Nadine Ha'Kim, Annie Ray Anderson, and Odessa Solomon, all who preceded him into eternity.
As we come together to celebrate Roy's life, let us remember his infectious laughter, his unwavering loyalty, and the kindness he extended to all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at the Greater Mount Zion COGIC, 1825 Roemer Blvd, Farrell, on Saturday July 13, 2024, at 12 noon where Pastor Tyrone Steals will officiate. In his memory, let us find comfort in each other and the legacy of love he leaves behind.
