On the misty morning of April 29, 2024, the world lost a precious gem as Ruby Ahart, a gentle spirit, departed this earthly realm in Youngstown, OH. Ruby, born to the union of the late Lawyer & Colee Pierce on April 23, 1938, in the quaint town of Moss, MS, was a pillar of strength and love to her family and friends.
With a resilient spirit and warm smile, Ruby dedicated her working years to the skilled profession of assembling at General Motors, leaving a lasting mark on the auto manufacturing industry. Her meticulous work ethic and unwavering commitment shone brightly throughout her career.
Ruby had a fondness for the hummingbird, marveling at its ability to maneuver and hover at will. She recognized that the beauty of the creature while its agility is akin to life lessons embraced. Adjusting to life circumstance while appreciating the moments. The hummingbird was often viewed from her lens as a messenger of love, joy and good fortune.
Ruby's legacy extends far and wide, touching the lives of many. In the depths of their grief, the memories of her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support bring solace and peace. She leaves behind a loving family: her daughter Cynthia, sons Kevin, Howard, and Elmer Jr, as well as her dear siblings Jeanette Howard, Eddie Pierce Sr., James Pierce, and Kathy Pierce. Ruby also leaves a score of grandchildren and great grandchildren who are charged with upholding the family legacy for generations to come.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Larson Pierce, Floyd D Pierce Sr. and Cassal Pierce.
As we reflect on Ruby's life, her gentle spirit and generous heart remain etched in our memories. The echoes of her laughter and the love she shared will forever linger in our hearts. Her story, though now concluded, will continue to inspire and uplift those who knew her.
A Memorial Service in celebration of Ruby's life will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 10:30 am at the Jaylex Event Center., 2110 Glenwood Ave., where Rev. Lewis Macklin will serve as the celebrant. Join us as we honor her memory and pay tribute to a life well-lived.
In her passing, Ruby Ahart leaves a void that can only be filled with the cherished memories she leaves behind. May her soul find eternal peace, and her memory remain a beacon of light for those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
