With cherished memories, we bid farewell to Thomas Edward Bacon Jr., a kind soul whose presence warmed the hearts of many. Born to the union of Thomas E. Bacon Sr. and Barbara A. Hover-Bacon, Thomas graced this world on November 1, 1965, in Youngstown, OH, and peacefully departed on June 23, 2024. His departure was as natural as the gentle breeze that whispered through the trees—a testament to the peaceful life he led.
Thomas, known for his welcoming smile and gentle demeanor, found joy in simplicity. Graduating with his diploma from East High School in 1984, he found solace in his labor as a valued employee at Wash on Wheels, where his hard work and dedication shone through. His calming presence was as serene as the sun's rays on a summer day—warm, comforting, and ever-present.
He leaves to cherish fondest memories his companion Joann Bussey, sister Mary Bacon, brothers William Bacon and Rev. Lewis (Dorothy) Macklin. Thomas was richly blessed with bonus children which includes Dreama (Dino Brown) Williams, Richard Bussey, Colisha Bussey, Davinna Walker, Cher’rrea Sarbaro, and Jerome Williams.
His legacy will endure through the love of his nieces Krystle (David) Pratt and Stephanie Oslavic, nephew George Bacon, great- niece Maria Pratt, and great- nephews David Pratt Jr. and Joshua Morris. Thomas also leaves a score of family and friends.
Upon the completion of his earthly journey, Thomas was reunited with his parents and grandparents Mr. & Mrs. George Hover, George Bacon and Estella Mae Burrows Bacon, each who preceded him into eternity.
Thomas expressed a desire not to have any formal funeral services which will be respected. There will be an informal Celebration of Life gathering in the setting of nature's beauty.
To honor his memory, all are invited to an outdoor gathering to be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 9:00 am until dusk at the John White Park, 2300 Kimmel Street. Together, we will gather to share stories, enjoy laughter, embrace fellowship and find solace in the beauty of Thomas's life, a life well-lived and cherished beyond measure.
Thomas may have departed from our sight, but his love and light will eternally reside within us, a beacon of hope and a reminder of life's simple joys. In his memory, let us find solace and strength, knowing that he now rests in peace.
