Obituary For Vera Floyd-Hatwood

Vera (Floyd) Hatwood, 78, of Masury, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 4, 2024. Born on September 14, 1946, in Sharon, Pennsylvania.

Vera was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who dedicated her life to raising her children and nurturing her family with love and warmth.

Vera was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, Max Hatwood. Vera’s memory lives on through her five children: Darrick and Shelly Hatwood of Mount Vernon, NY; Fred and Nicole Hatwood of Thomasville, NC; Derrick and Dana Hatwood, Tony Hatwood, and Yolanda and Tim, all of Springfield, MA.

Vera’s legacy will be emboldened and sustained by the numerous grandchildren she cherished, including Kayla Hatwood and Lexus Mays, as well as several great-grandchildren.

In accordance with Vera’s articulated wishes, services were held privately. Vera will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Oh, I'm so sad to hear this. Vera was the sweetest and I was so happy whenever I'd run into her when I was out and about. We always had the best chats. We've been acquainted over 40 years because of our children. God's peace, family. Love to you. Connie Moore
