Mom, For 42 years! We have been inseparable. I can't recall a day that you and I weren't in touch with each other, whether it be by telephone or in person. Just this past year, you became my roommate. And I cherish every day spent with you. Since childhood, I've feared that this day would come. But what brings me comfort is knowing the Word of God. For it says, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Cor 5:8). Mom, I do not doubt that you're with the Lord. And if you were here right now, we would probably be snacking and watching TV, and I would glance over and see that you had nodded off, and I would ask, Mom! Are you sleeping? And you would say, No, I'm just resting my eyes! So, rest easy, Mom. Your baby, Nora
