TYLER--Funeral services for Mr. Bill Oliver, 76, of Tyler, Texas is scheduled for 12 pm, Saturday, August22, 2026, at College Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Clev. Forward, eulogist. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park under direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Company.

Mr. Oliver was born in Smith County on March 17, 1950, to the late Alice Wright Allen and Julius Oliver. He transitioned on August 13, 2026.

Mr. Oliver was a graduate of Emmett J. Scott High School, Class of 1968. He attended Tyler Junior College. A life resident of Smith County, Mr. Oliver was a former member of North Tenneha Church of Christ and later attended Progressive Baptist Church where he served as an usher. He was the owner of Oliver's Concrete.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Lynn Roy Oliver and Delbert Oliver. He is survived by his spouse of 55 years: Cathy Oliver of Tyler, Texas; daughters: Reshonda P. Oliver, Misty (Melvin) Lewis, Lasonya (Richard) Gipson all of Tyler, Texas;sons: Cedric (Iva) Oliver of Cedar Hill, Byron (Ebony)Oliver, Brian (Tonya) Oliver, Marquie (Chastity) Daniels all of Tyler, Texas, Drake (Natalie) Hood of Dallas, sister: Lois P. Oliver and brother: Dewayne (Peggy) Oliver all of Tyler, and a host of grand and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be Friday, 2:30pm ---8:00 pm at the funeral home.
