TYLER---Funeral services for Charles Veasey, Jr., 45, of Tyler are scheduled for 12pm, Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Greater Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. Brandon Owens, eulogist. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Company.
Mr. Veasey was born September 23, 1980, in Smith County to the late Charles Veasey, Sr. and Linda Furch and he transitioned on July 25, 2026. A life resident of Smith County, he was a graduate of Tyler Independent School District and former member of Greater Hopewell Baptist Church.
Mr. Veasey was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents. He is survived by his son: Jakyron Lacy of Tyler, sisters: Nicole Chandler of Dallas, Britania Veasey of Lewisville, Kimberly White, Cemon Veasey and Kitasha Warren all of Tyler, brothers: Kenellias Smith (Maria) of Seattle, Roderick Jones and De’Carlton Grant both of Dallas, Marquis Smith (Shewauna), Gavin Jones, and Montreal Veasey (Tiffany) all of Tyler. Public viewing will be on Friday, 2-8 pm at the funeral home
