Obituary For Christopher West

ATHENS--Funeral services for Mr. Christopher West, 51, of Athens, Texas will be held on Saturday, 11:00 AM, at Petersburg Baptist Church, 1008 Mill Run Rd, Athens, TX with Rev. Kenneth Hall serving as officiant and Pastor Jackie Coleman delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in Barker Cemetery under the direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Co. Mr. West transitioned on September 25, 2023, in New Mexico.

He was born January 26, 1972, in Athens, Texas to Larry West and the late Christine Cumby West. Christopher attended and graduated at Athens High School, Class of 1991. He was a lifelong resident of Henderson County and was a tenured truck driver—driving over 15 years.

Preceding him in death were his mother, paternal and maternal grandparents.

Left to cherish his memories are: father: Larry West of Athens, TX; two sons: Demarcus J. West and Jerryme E. West both of Waxahachie, TX; one brother: Carlton West (Linda) of Jacksonville, FL.; one sister: Carletta West Haynes of Athens, TX; numerous aunts and uncles, cousins other relatives and friends.
