(July 15, 1960----November 23, 2025)
CHANDLER--Memorial services for Mr. Clifford Jackson, 65, is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Antioch Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery under direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Co.
Clifford Dewayne Jackson (affectionately known as “Dankey” was born on July 15, 1960 in Chandler, Texas to the late Bennie C Jackson and the last Elmarie Price Jackson. The youngest of ten children, Clifford brought joy, laughter, and a lively spirit to his large and loving family.
Clifford began his early education at Central High School in Moore Station, Texas. When Central High closed, he completed his studies at Brownsboro High School, graduating with the Class of 1979. Unsure of his long-term career path, he enlisted in the United States Army shortly after graduation. Although he soon realized military life was not his calling, the experience shaped his early adulthood and helped guide his next steps.
After leaving the Army, Clifford relocated to Dallas, Texas, where he made his home for more than thirty years. Clifford accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Chandler under the leadership of the late Rev. H.L. Wallace. In 2023, he returned to his family home in Chandler and reconnected with Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, where his Christian foundation began. He remained a faithful and devoted member until his health began to decline.
Clifford will be fondly remembered for his deep love of family, his generous heart, and his joyful personality. He especially enjoyed playing cards and dominoes, cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys, and trying his luck with scratch-offs, where he almost always seemed to win. His humor and warmth touched everyone who knew him.
On November 23, 2025, Cliffford peacefully entered eternal rest and reunited with loved ones who preceded him: his parents: Bennie C and Elmarie Price Jackson; sister: Imogene Stubblefield and Juanita Williams; brother: Hubert Lee Jackson; nephews: Donshae Bowman, Kelsey Woods and Julian Cooper; paternal grandparents: Alto & Carrie Lee Jackson and maternal grandparents: Steve Price and Rosie Kirby.
Clifford leaves to cherish his memory: brothers: James (Jackie) Jackson of Waxahachie, Texas and Troy Jackson Sr. of Chandler, Texas; sisters: Elder Virginia Green of Tyler, Texas, Patricia Bowman of Chandler, Texas, Shirley McKenzie of Dallas, Texas and Glory March of Dallas, Texas; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever treasure his life, his laughter and the love he shared.
Clifford “Dankey” Dewayne Jackson will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
