WINONA -- Funeral services for Elder Maurice Warren, 79, of Winona, Texas will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 11 a.m. The service will be held at Corinth Missionary Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas with Rev. Robert L Davis serving as the eulogist. FACE MASK ARE REQUIRED.. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Community Cemetery in the Swan Community under the direction of John R Harmon Undertaking Company.
Elder Warren was born on March 18, 1943 in Smith County and transitioned on June 8, 2022 in Smith County, Texas.
Elder Warren was a graduate of Bragg Morris High School in Lindale, Texas. He was an Ordained Minister and a member of Houston Temple Church of God in Christ. He had retired from Tyler Pipe Industries.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Felix and Jessie Warren, three sisters and four brothers. Left to cherish his memories are his sister, Nell Roy of Winona; son: Emanuel Warren, grandson: D'Andre Warren both of Dallas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. The repast will be held after the committal at The Meeting Place, 1301 West Erwin, Tyler, Texas 75702
