Obituary For Evonn Cofer

(November 14, 1977 – September 27, 2026)

LARUE---Celebration of life for Evonn Cofer, 48, of Laure, is scheduled for 11 am, Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Lone Star Baptist Church with Pastor Richard McCown, eulogist. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery under direction of John R Harmon Undertaking Company.

Ms. Cofer was born November 14, 1977 in Wesbaden, Germany and transitioned on September 27, 2026 at CTMF in Tyler. She graduated from Wiesbaden High School in Germany and Fayetteville Community College in North Carolina. Ms. Cofer received her certification from the Texas Department of Criminial Justice and Trinity Valley Community College. She had her CNA certification as well. Ms. Cofer worked at TDCJ from 2023--2025 as a med aide.

She was a member of Lone Star Baptist Church. Ms. Cofer was preceded in death by her mother, Angelika Schade. She is survived by spouse: Kelvin Cofer; daughter: Shayana Nicole Cofer; Father: Dunn Cofer (Bettye Davis ) all of Larue; brothers: Ralf Schade of Germany and Cassmer Walker of Tyler.

Public viewing will be Friday, October 9, from 2 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.
