Obituary For James Lee "IKE" Pettigrew
(May 15, 1960----July 13, 2025)
CHANDLER--Funeral services for Mr. James Lee “IKE” Pettigrew, 65, of Chandler, Texas are scheduled for 2:30 pm, Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Antioch Baptist Church in Whitehouse, Texas with Rev. Robert Jones as eulogist. Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery in Whitehouse, Texas under the direction of John R Harmon Undertaking Company.
James Pettigrew was born May 15, 1960 in Smith County to the late Georgia Mae Mackey. He transitioned on July 13, 2025.
His mother came to Chandler, Texas with him in the early 70's to live where they came to unite with Faith Tabernacle Church of Deliverance under the leadership of the late Apostle J.D. Hamilton Sr.
He attended Brownsboro High School. He worked for K & L Recycling for the last 48 years until his health began to fail.
James Pettigrew is preceded in death by his mother :Georgia Mae Pettigrew Mackey; brother:Lewis Arthur Pettigrew; special Godson: Cody Williams
He leaves to cherish his memory one sister: Bobbie J. Pettigrew of Chandler, Texas; niece: Georgia Pettigrew and Jamie Ervin of Chandler; nephew: Jacob Pettigrew and a host of great nieces, great nephews, relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be Friday, July 18, 2025, from 2 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.
