Obituary For Larry Winfred Boyd

( January 14, 1954--June 12, 2026 )

TYLER--Today we honor and remember the life of Larry Winfred Boyd, a man whose journey began on January 14, 1954 born in Bullard TX. Born to Ida Jewel Gordon and Opell Boyd, Larry was raised with the values of family, loyalty, and perseverance that would remain with him throughout his life.

As a young man, Larry answered the call to serve his country, joining the on February 2, 1973. During his time in service, which continued until May 24, 1974, he demonstrated dedication and commitment, carrying those qualities with him long after his military years.

Larry's life was marked not by the number of possessions he gathered, but by the relationships he nurtured and the memories he created. Though he had no children of his own, he embraced a cherished role within his family as a beloved uncle, offering love, guidance, laughter, and support to many nieces and nephews who looked up to him.

He experienced both joy and sorrow throughout his years. Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Boyd, and his sister, Debra Boyd. While their loss left an empty place in his heart, the bonds they shared remained a treasured part of his life story.

Among those who held a special place in Larry's heart were his niece, Janine Phillips; his great-niece, Danyale Dixon; and his great nephew, Andrew Cunningham. He was also dearly loved by many other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends whose lives were touched by his presence.

Larry's life reminds us that a person's legacy is measured not only by achievements but by the love they leave behind. He was a familiar face, a trusted family member, and a source of connection across generations. His kindness, stories, and steady presence will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

On June 12, 2026, Larry parted ways with this earth, but his memory remains woven into the lives of the family he loved so deeply. As we remember him today, we celebrate a life lived with resilience, service, and devotion to family.

May we carry forward the lessons he taught, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely.

Forever remembered, forever missed, and forever loved.

Rest in peace, Larry Boyd.

Send flowers to the service of Larry Winfred Boyd
