LARUE--Funeral services for Mr. Linden Sowells, 75, is scheduled for 1 pm, Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Behind the Veil Church in Athens, Texas with Rev. Bill Burton eulogist. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of John R Harmon Undertaking Company.
Mr. Sowells was born on January 13, 1949 in Larue to the late Connie and Ada Allen Sowells and he transitioned on March 29, 2024. He graduated from Brownsboro High School and was a member of The Church of the Living God, PGT and retired from a Rubber Company. He was a member of the Moore Station Riding Club and served in the United States Army.
Mr. Sowells was preceded in death by two bothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his spouse: Kathy Sowells of Larue, two sons: Reginal Fullylove of Tyler and Marcus Whitehead of Athens; Daishia Hambrick of Athens and ten grandchildren.
Public viewing is from 2 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home on April 5, 2024

Lin was a cousin to my family his mother Ada was kin to my grandfather Mose Bowman. Lin was a friend to my husband, Marshall Crawford Jr and he also was on the 1967 Brownsboro High School basketball team who won the state championship of that year.
