TYLER--Funeral services for Lois Brooks, 72, are scheduled for 11 am, Friday, May 1, 2026 at Greater Hopewell Baptist Church with Pastor J.L. Preston eulogist.
Burial will be in Hopewell Community Cemetery/Swan under direction of John R Harmon Undertaking Company.
Ms. Brooks was born December 29, 1953 in Smith County to the late Dorothy Wade and Travis Brooks. She transitioned on April 17, 2026.
Ms. Brooks was a graduate of John Tyler High School and attended Tyler Junior College. She was a former employee with Goodwill Industries and member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas.
Ms Brooks was preceded in death by her brother, Patrick Brooks, Sr.
She is survived by sister: Velma Pennington and brother Michael Brooks both of Tyler, Texas and a host of other relatives and friends with whom she shared a special bond.
Public viewing will be Thursday, April 30, 2026 at the funeral home.
