Obituary For Lossie Wade Jr.

(August 15, 1958-----June 27, 2024)

TYLER---Funeral services for Mr. Lossie Wade Jr., 65, is scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. Rufus Pollard, eulogist. Burial will be in the High Cemetery under direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Company.

Mr. Wade was born on August 15, 1958 in Tyler, Texas, Smith County to Lossie Wade Sr. and Ruth Hazel Downs. He transitioned on June 27, 2024.

He was a graduate of Robert E Lee High School and furthered his studies at Tyler Jr. College. Mr. Wade was a life resident of Smith County. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and an Entrepreneur.

He is preceded in death by his father: Lossie Wade Sr., twin daughter: JaShauni L Harris, brother: Reginald Wade Sr.; nephew: Ashton Wade, paternal and maternal grandparents: Essie and Evie Ates Downs, Glovie and Sarah Vickers Wade; aunts: Belinda Johnson Rogers, Bobbie Jean Downs Key, Christine Wade , Magaline Rose Wade-Phillips, Koatney Wade, Sleetie Wade-Webster and Katheryn Wade; uncles: A.W. Johnson, Michael C Johnson, JW Johnson, Leroy Abdul-Haqq, Glovie Wade Jr, Samuel Wade.

Left to cherish his memories are his children: LaShauni Wiltz (Melvern), Lossie Rashad Wade III, Dawalus Hampton, Askia Wade, Gabriel Wade, Alexandria Hillard, Johnathen Hayes (Kamri), Latavian Putilla and Diamond Wade; sister: Katrina Wade-Pettigrew (Larry); brothers: Darrell Wade, Darvin Wade and Mark Wade; nineteen grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be Friday, July 5, 2024 at the funeral home from 2 pm to 8 pm.
