Obituary For Nancy Wallace

( June 21, 1947 — April 16, 2025 )

Sister Nancy Wallace was born on June 21, 1947, in Santa Monica, California, to Glen and Bonnie Yeaton. She grew up alongside her younger brother Mike, and later moved to Northern California, where she was adopted by her stepfather John Welch. Nancy spent her formative years in Santa Clara, CA, graduating from Wilcox High School on June 18, 1965.

Sister Nancy dedicated her professional life to Human Resources, excelled as a Loan Processor, and retired in Tyler, Texas as an Admin for the Smith County Commissioners’ Court. Although she had a successful, diverse career, she found her greatest joy and fulfillment in her role at Star Team Realty under the leadership of Brother Michael Parker. She often, and recently, referred to this position as the best job she ever had, cherishing the opportunity to work alongside Brother Michael and the people of God.

Sister Nancy was raised in a system steeped in idols, repeated prayers, and often services spoken in languages not understood. She was invited to other churches but was taught and feared that the Lord would be displeased with her to visit other places of worship. In her early 20’s she began to read the Bible and learned that “a man must be born again”. She visited the First Assembly of God in Fremont, CA where she received the baptism of the Holy Ghost on June 2nd, 1974. Although this was one of the greatest experiences in her life, in her heart she yearned for more of God and to understand his word.

She began to search and visit many churches. She found herself very active in different ministries, home bible studies, and outreach programs. In the midst of all of the busyness she read a scripture that profoundly changed her life. She read John 14:6 where Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me”. She said in her heart; “I don’t even know what truth is”. In her spiritual journey the Lord spoke to her through a scripture in Jeremiah 6:16 “Thus saith the LORD, “Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls”. She often shared this dear scripture throughout the years telling her personal testimony of how the Lord led her to the Body of Christ.

In 1986 the Lord led her to the Church of the Latter Rain where she knew with all certainty that the Lord had brought her to the truth; a place where she could learn the word of God and grow in the order of God. She developed many friendships and bonded with the family of God. She faithfully served on many church teams including: the towel team (Church at Union City), play time, branch manager Admin assistant, finance team and volunteer services (Church at Tyler). She loved working on her teams and found joy serving with the people of God.

In 2014 Sister Nancy questioned test results missed by her Doctor and later learned she had stage 3 ovarian cancer. She shared that she never feared, leaned on the prayers of the people of God, and stayed faithful in the prayer line. One unforgettable day in the prayer line, the ministry prayed for her and she felt the power of God, knowing the Lord did something for her. The day they went in to surgically remove the cancer it was not there. The Lord healed her of this condition! As she was coming out of anesthesia and not fully awake, her soul spoke these words: “He has given me more time to overcome. The Lord bestows so much mercy on us. This is for the glorification of his body. More than anything I’ve got to make it.” She often testified of this notable miracle.

Sister Nancy departed this life on April 16, 2025, having fulfilled the promise of Revelation 14:13 “Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.”

Sister Nancy was known as a friend, a sister and a mother to many within the Kingdom of God. Her kind spirit and unwavering love left a significant mark on all who knew her. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she loved her family deeply. She is survived by her son, Brian Wallace (Lashun); daughters, Kristin Sanders and Nicole Wallace; grandsons, Jayden McGraw (Jamesha) and Logan Sanders; granddaughter Brooke Sanders; great grandson Jayce; great-granddaughter Harper; brother Mike Welch (Gloria); along with numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Send flowers to the service of Nancy Wallace
