FLINT--Funeral services for Pastor K.B. Clater, 81, will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 11 am in the sanctuary of Lee Springs Baptist Church in Flint, Texas with Pastor Tracy Clater, eulogist.
Burial will follow in the Lee Spring Cemetery under the direction of John R Harmon Undertaking Company.
Pastor Clater was born on April 22, 1941 in Gholson, Texas to the parentage of the late Earl and Cecil Scott Clater. He transitioned on March 9, 2023 at UT Health East Texas. He graduated from Dunbar High School in West, Texas and attended Barber and Seminary School in Fort Worth, Texas.
He was a Barber and current Pastor of Lee Springs Baptist Church. Pastor Clater was Dean of the Palestine Bowen District Congress and member of the State Foreign Mission Board.
He is preceded in death by three brothers. Left to cherish his memories are his spouse: Katherine Clater of Flint;sons:Kenneth (Sharrine) Clater and Tyrone Clater, both of Alto, Texas, Tony (Lizette) Clater and Pastor Tracy (Yolanda) Clater both of Jacksonville, Michael Clater of Rusk, Christopher (Tiffany) Clater of Lufkin and Rev. Lee (Angie) Bailey Jr. of Tyler; daughter: Sharon (Roderick ) Burnley of Tyler; Brother: Freddie (Milton) Clater and Mike Clater both of West, Texas, Elmon (Josetta ) Clater of Gholson, Texas; sister: Lester Faye McCreay of West, Texas and host of Grand and Great Grandchildren.
Public viewing will be Friday from 2 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.
