Obituary For Phythias Young Sr.
(November 17, 1962 — December 26, 2023 )
TYLER--Funeral services for Mr. Phythias Young Sr, 61, will be 12 noon on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at North Star Baptist Church with Elder Gregory Beal, eulogist. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park under the direction of John R Harmon Undertaking Company.
Mr. Young was born on November 17, 1963 in Smith County to Warnell Young Sr and the late Mattie Tucker Young and he transitioned on December 26, 2023.
Mr. Young was a graduate of John Tyler High School and attended Tyler Junior College with studies in Computer Science. He was a retired carrier from the United States Postal Service.
He is survived by father: Warnell (Penny) Young Sr of Tyler, Texas, sons: Phythias Young Jr of Houston, Texas, Brayden Young of Tyler, Texas, Joshua Young of Georgia, Phinneaus Young of Tyler, Texas; daughters: Phatecia Wilson of Dallas, Texas, Charde Young of Oak Point, Texas, Destiney Young, Desiney Young and Desney Young all of Tyler, Texas.Brothers: Warnell Young Jr. of California, William Young Sr (Rosalind) of Tyler, Texas, Jerry Young(Doretha) of Gilmer, Texas, Anthony Young ( Clarissa ) of Tyler, Texas. Sister: Sheila Jones ( Tyrone Caldwell) of Tyler, Texas and one grandson: Ra"Sean Riggins of Houston, Texas.
Public Viewing will be Friday, January 12, 2024 from 2 pm -8 pm.
