It seems like it was yesterday when Ray Vance and all of us children in Edgewood, Texas were laughing and playing together having a good time. Don't forget running to catch the school bus. Ray Vance was quiet most of the time. He had a beautiful smile. Doll, Gary, and the entire family you have my condolence and prayers. May you find comfort in knowing that Ray knew the Lord. Even though it's been many years since I have seen Ray Vance I will miss him. The children that grew up in Edgewood, we are like family. To the family of Ray look to God for your strength and comfort. I'm sorry for your loss. Laverne Wilson-Nyaidho
Uncle Ray, you are truly going to be missed! When you were living in Tyler and I would come by to see you, it seemed like every time I pulled up in the driveway, I saw Aunt Kathy standing at the front door waving at me and smiling before you would make it to the door and opened it. Your favorite words were: nephew...what's up man, you came by to check on and hang with your ole Unc huh....then you would just laugh! I'm going to miss that but most of all, I'm going to miss you and our conversations man! You and Aunt Kathy treated me more like a son than a nephew and I love you for that. I love you man! You'll never be forgotten and I promise I will check in on Aunt Doll to make sure she's doing okay. Your Nephew Bobby
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
