TYLER--Richard Lee Arterberry was born November 29,1942 in Overton, Tx to the late Samuel Harrison Arterberry and Lucile Leroy Arterberry.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of the Spring Chapel CME Church. He graduated from Arp Industrial High School, where he met and fell in love with the late Pearlie Lee Arterberry.
He began his career as a truck driver and was also a talented construction worker. In the late 1970's he moved to California to explore new opportunities. His love for engines, motorcars and motorcycles sparked and became a profession as well as a passion.
Mr. Arterberry transitioned on June 7, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
Left to cherish his memories are his four daughters, a bonus son and daughter and daughter-in-law, and host of family and friends.
Services for Mr. Richard Lee Arterberry are scheduled for Saturday June 28, 2025, at 12 noon and Spring Chapel CME Church Overton, Tx. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery.
Public viewing will be Friday from 2-3 pm at the funeral home.
