Obituary For Tommy Lee Dorsey

TYLER -- Funeral services for Mr. Tommie Lee Dorsey, 80, of Tyler, Texas will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 11 am at John R Harmon Undertaking Company with Elder Waymon Stewart serving as eulogist. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery in Whitehouse, Texas under the direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Company.

Mr. Dorsey was born on August 31, 1942 to the late James Dorsey Sr. and Christina Mackey Dorsey and transitioned on January 1, 2023.

He graduated from Stanton High School and he was a life resident of Smith County and member of Whitehouse Church of God in Christ.

Mr. Dorsey was a former employee of Mother Frances Hospital working in housekeeping.

He was preceded in death by two sisters: Mildred Willis and LaJoyce Ervin, three brothers: James Dorsey Jr., Wilbert Dorsey and L.D. Dorsey.

He is survived by one sister: Jettie Smith of Tyler, Texas and two brothers: Walter (Lula) Dorsey of Whitehouse and Billy Dorsey of Tyler, other relatives and friends.
