FORT WORTH---Funeral services for Tony Cox, 57, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Jones Valley Community COGIC with Bishop Melton Timmons, eulogist. Burial will be in Clear Springs Cemetery under the direction of on John R Harmon Undertaking Company.
Mr. Cox was born September 23, 1968 in Smith County to the late Denise Cox and he transitioned on January 8, 2026.
He was a graduate of John Tyler High School and attended Grambling State University. Mr. Cox was a member of Clear Springs Baptist Church where he was a former choir member and usher. He was a former bus driver for Chapel Hill ISD and served in the United States Army and served in the United States Army.
Mr. Cox was a resident of Tarrant County for over ten years. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and one nephew.
Mr. Cox is survived by two brothers: Gayland Cox and Michael (Casandra) Cox of Tyler; aunt: Sonja Cox of Tyler and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Public viewing will be Friday, 2 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.
