Obituary For Vernicka Johnson

TYLER----Funeral services for Ms. Vernicka Johnson, 51, of Tyler, Texas will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 2 pm. The service will be held at Mt. Zion C.M.E. Church in Ben Wheeler, Texas. Rev. William T. Spearman serving as eulogist. Burial will follow in the County Line Cemetery under the direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Company.
Ms. Johnson was born on October 9, 1971 and transitioned on October 9, 2022. She was a life resident of Smith County, graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and a member of Mt. Zion CME Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Darnell Johnson. Left to cherish her memories are her mother: Mae Wickware Johnson of Tyler; son: Frederick Pimpton Jr. of Tyler; Daughters: De'Ona Browning of Atlanta, Georgia and Fantasia Pimpton of Tyler; Brothers: David Johnson (Angela) of Henderson, Joshua Johnson of Dallas, Brandon Johnson of Tyler, and Eloys Johnson (Madison) of Austin; Auntie: Jewel Mapps and Lesie Willis of Tyler, Alma Wickware of Duncanville, Texas, Eunice Webb and Maybell Staten of Dallas and a host of other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be on Friday, October 21, from 2 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.
