Violet was an incredible woman. She loved with passion. I remember a conversation we had outside on Ms Jimmie Bea's porch..I said to her, "So what are you going to do about it? Only you have the power to make that change." She turned stared me & said "What are you going to do?". We spoke nit as mother-in-law to daughter-in-law but as friends. Oh the memories.. when she met Dyamon at 2 half months old,I flew out to Denver. Who knew about outdoor mails?! I had gone to the store she kept Dyamon.i had warned her Dyamon was rolling & pulling herself. Violet tells me she didn't believe that Dyamon was doing an that and put her in middle of the bed. Stepped out the room came back check on her.. she found her at the edge of the bed. She put a barrier around her. Called Ms Jimmie Bea. When I got back she tells me what happened and said momma said Dyamon is moving out the way for the next one. Following October Carmen was born. There was that time we all(Violet, Ms Edith,Dyamon,Carmen, & myself) went to Venture Beach. Violet had collected muscles/clams. When we got back home to Bakersfield, she put them in the water with my turtles. Well the next day all the clans/muscles were empty. Yup the turtles ate them. Violet was surprised the turtles ate them. She sure was an absolute joy. I would send the girls out to visit her during the summers. Yes indeed the girls became expert frequent flyers at a very young age. They were in good hands, she knew how overprotective I am with my girls. Her visits with us in Bakersfield were always a delight. She and Mr Willie Lee always made time to stop by. I'll miss our conversations Violet. I'll miss you. I'll miss hearing your,"CHILD...". I know you loved us as much as love you. Thank you for an the beautiful memories full of joy treats & laughter. Rest in paradise my beautiful Violet. Liz Webster
I will miss her dearly. She always had a mischievous way of making me laugh by getting on to me when I wasn't doing what I was supposed to be. Her way of telling me Glorynow was her nickname for me she would say, " didn't I tell you not to use the printer when I'm working court. She taught me a lot and I used to tell her when I got older I wanted to have her same spirit because she was blunt and funny she made us laugh at work and we will miss her so much. You're in a better place now Mrs. V and you will no longer suffer or hurt. To the Webster family I pray for comfort and peace and know that she was an amazing person who was loved and who will be missed. May God give you strength for the days ahead. Love Gloria Godoy
