KILGORE--Funeral services for Mrs. Wondecka Johnson, 63, are scheduled for 11 am, Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Word of Truth Church in Kilgore with Pastor Robert Smith III, eulogist.
Burial will be in Johnson Cemetery under direction of John R Harmon Undertaking Company.
Mr. Johnson was born August 22, 1962 in Smith County to the late Samuel Black and Anna Doris Chambers Black and she transitioned on September 23, 2025.
Mrs. Johnson was a graduate of John Tyler High School, life resident of Smith County and a former cook at Colonial Manor Nursing Facility.
She was preceded in death by father and step-son: Tyrone Sherifield. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her spouse: Nathaniel Johnson of Kilgore, daughter: Natisha Johnson of Kilgore, mother: Anna Doris Black of Tyler, sister: Terri Blakemore and Sharon Gail Coleman of Dallas, Kimberly Bridges of Tyler, brothers: Edmond Black and Christopher Blakes both of Tyler and three grandchildren.
Public viewing will be 2 pm to 8 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
Your family is in our hearts and prayers. We have some many memories of Aunt DeDe to cherish as life goes on. She will not be forgotten.
