My Condolences to the family. I thank God for Bishop Donald Cox Sr. As my former pastor I am grateful for the start he gave me. Appointed me deacon, entrusted me at a young age at one time to be the church van driver, my own key to be there to open or lock the church doors, road trips together, I met my wife through his ministry which he helped in the ceremony ( I still have plenty of pictures). He gave me the chance to preach my first sermon, and I loved his preaching and remember plenty of times telling my coworkers come hear my pastor preach. I'm also a pastor now for the last 13 and a half years most importantly because of the call of God and also the lead way and opportunities he gave me. I still remember his sayings like sometimes you have to bite the bullet , and a story he would always tell about the devil telling the saints wait one more day. 🙏🙏🙏. Pastor Dwayne Morgan Sr.

Bishop, Donald Ray Cox there is so much I can say you are my first spiritual father. I can remember when it was 17 of us from our previous church that joined waterway apostolic assembly of Christ. I want to say in 1998 or maybe 97. That was the best church ever I can remember the times traveling over the highways in that little red two door for escort 😂 to Atlanta, Georgia, South Carolina. You introduced us to a lot of people and high places. I will forever remember all the counseling and the teaching that you taught me. I still can't believe that you're going, but God knows best.

My sincerest condolences to the family of Bishop Donald Cox, Sr. Like so many others, I will always remember your smile and words of encouragement as my former Pastor.

Praise the Lord for you Bishop Cox. Rest in heavenly peace. The Waterway Apostolic Church of Jackson, MS is where you were my pastor. You are celebrated and remembered. My warm condolences goes out to all family and loved ones.

Dad, I miss you so much.🥺The things you instilled in me will always be remembered. Our fishing trips, our talks, you at the birth of Jeremiah..Dad Dad..only if we had more time. But God Always have the prefect plan. You always say, stay with God no matter who else leaves. That has always stuck with me. You will be truly missed. Dad im your namesake you have always been my blueprint and my example and ive always wanted to make you proud you pushed me so much and held me to such a high standard and that apart of the reason im the man i am today i miss you so much and i would give anything to just hear you call me Donald Ray one more time the memories will last a life time and man i love you so much life wont be the same without you but i know the life you lived and i know the works you did will speak for you we left so many things unsaid but i know God's plan is perfect and i know more than anything you love the Lord with all you heart and you always told me to lean not to my own understanding and i know you just wanted to make it to heaven and hear the lord say well Done! I promise our legacy will live forever and the world will know the name Donald Cox LONG LIVE the COX name!

Bishop Cox will always be remembered as a wonderful Pastor. His smile and encouragement to stay with GOD is what I'll remember most! Rest well Bishop!!

More than anything l remember Bishop Cox's smile. One day he came to me and said "God said it is time for you to be ordained in you minstry" . After submitting and taking the test, he said you will no longer be addressed as minister but Evangelist. I did not want to except the title but he insisted. I am so thankful he pushed me to go higher in christ.

I want to extend my sincere condolences to the family of Donald Ray Cox. Donald Ray was one of my best friends growing up in Cleveland. We were classmates through out school. He was very instrumental in me joining the Boy Scouts and Explorers. We both made it to Eagle Scouts. It has been an honor and pleasure to have you as a best friend. Rest In Power my friend and Brother.
