Funeral services for Joseph Woods, 72, of Mound Bayou, Ms will be held Friday, December 27, 2019 at 11am at Jerusalem MB Church,Mound Bayou with burial following in Jerusalem Church Cemetery under the direction of Johnson and Scott Mortuary, Cleveland. He died Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland.
He leaves to cherish his memories:
Wife: Joyce Collins Woods
Children: LaShunda (Clifton) Reed, LaTonya Johnson, Kamilah (Carnez) Paris, Petra Woods and Charissa Amos.
Mother: Ruthie Burton Woods
Sisters: Brenda Woods, Zelma Woods, Ann (Alonzo) Watkins, and Carmencita Woods
Brothers: Pedro Woods, Sandy Woods Jr., Ted (Kim) Woods, C. J. (Geri) Woods, A.D. (Helen) Woods, David (Ella) Woods and William (Ladine) Woods
He is preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Woods, Sisters, Rhoda Dubrose and Addie Woods, Son Fitzgerald Woods and Father, Sandy Woods, Sr.
13 grandchildren 5 great-grandchildren
Visitation will be held Friday, December 27, 2019 from 10am until time of the service at the Church.
Rev. Glen Lyles will officiate.
To the family of the late Mr. Joe Woods. My name is Clarence A. Murray, former Management Analyst, NCBA-SEP 2013-2020. Joe was a genuine treasure as a co-worker and friend. Many regrets.
I pray that in the midst of your sorrow you find comfort in all the joyful memories shared.
Hoe and I worked together for NCBA-SCSEP. Someone as special as Joe Woods will never be forgotten. He will remain in our hearts forever.
