Funeral services for Valerie Letitia Smith-Silas, 60, of Shaw, MS will be held Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Poplar Grove M. B. Church, Shaw, MS final disposition will be under the direction of Johnson and Scott Mortuary, Cleveland. She died Monday, October 14, 2024 at her residence.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 18, 2024 from 2-6 PM at Poplar Grove M. B. Church, Shaw, MS.
Rev. Herron Wilson will officiate.

I met Valerie Smith during our college years. She was a very high-spirited person with a great personality and an awesome sense of humor. I pray her daughter and family find comfort and peace as they read the well wishes of others.
